This website collects only basic, anonymous-style usage data through Google Analytics and our hosting provider, Vercel. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell your information.
This policy covers maryheathermelton.com ("the site," "we," "us"). It explains what information is collected when you visit, why, and what choices you have.
We don't ask you to give us any personal information to use the site. If you call or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share in that message. Two kinds of information are collected automatically:
Analytics (Google Analytics). We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. It collects information such as pages you view, how long you stay, the website that referred you, your general location (city or region), and your device, browser, and operating system. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to tell whether you are a new or returning visitor. It does not tell us your name, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Server logs (Vercel). Our site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel automatically records technical details about each request to the site, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the date and time. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working properly.
The only cookies on this site are set by Google Analytics:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work normally. You can also stop Google Analytics from collecting data on any website by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We use this information to see which pages are useful, understand how people find us, fix problems, and protect the site from abuse.
We do not:
Google and Vercel process this information on our behalf as service providers. Their own policies explain how they handle it: Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services, and Vercel's Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid court order.
Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months, then deleted automatically. Vercel keeps server logs for a short period as part of normal hosting operations.
Do Not Track. The site does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no industry standard for them. You can still block analytics using the cookie and opt-out options above.
Your requests. You can email us to ask what information we have about you or to ask us to delete it. Because we don't collect names or contact details through the site, we usually have nothing that identifies you personally. We will still do what we reasonably can.
Children. This site is meant for adults looking for our services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Visitors outside the United States. We are a U.S. business serving local customers, and the site is hosted in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be processed in the U.S.
If we change what the site collects, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
